It started out looking like it was going to be a slaughter. It still didn't end well. The league-leading Vancouver Canucks still won, as expected.
But the Ottawa Senators made it a game. After falling behind 3-0, they rebounded and pressed the Canucks to the final buzzer, before falling 4-2. Mikael Samuelsson iced it with his second goal of the game into an open net.
That the Senators showed the ability to bounce back from such a deficit should be something they can take into their next game, on Wednesday in Calgary against the Flames.
