The Senators are staggering home.
The Senators took a turn for the worse Saturday night at GM Place, when they took it on the chin in a 5-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks to close out a three-game Western Canada road trip with only two-of-six points as the club’s post-Olympic record fell to 1-4-1.
Only centre Jason Spezza was able to solve Olympic gold medal winning goalie Roberto Luongo as the Canucks pulled off a victory in their first game at home since Jan. 27 following a 14-game Olympic’s inspired road trip.
